About ClearImpact founder and technical director
After having done live sound for over 20 years while holding a day job writing engine controller (ECU/PCM) firmware running many of today's Ford and Honda vehicles, ClearImpact founder John Rutirasiri decided to pursue what he loves to do most: professional live sound. Indeed, sound and music is his other ethnicity...he's been an organ/keyboard player since age 10, and an audiophile for as long as he can afford the hobby. His interest in live sound reinforcement grew out of a desire to provide his band with better sound than the “professionals” hired for big bucks could do.
John firmly believes good sound requires true understanding of the science and physics behind sound itself, the technology involved, and most importantly, complete comprehension of music. That is, the sound engineer must be a performing musician. As a musician with electrical engineering background and unrelenting passion for hi-fi sound, John is in an advantageous position for this trade: sound is both art and science. Nothing gives him more satisfaction than seeing people smile and enjoying themselves at events which he provides clarity with impact sound.
John is a Chicago-native who grew up in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago. He attended Lane Tech high school and has an electrical engineering degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. He recently completed a 4-year assignment in Japan where he was Technical Lead and Principle Staff Engineer with Continental Automotive Japan, a subsidiary of Continental GmBH, the number 2 automotive supplier in the world. John had worked for Motorola and Continental Automotive since 1994 before leaving the industry to run ClearImpact Sound full time starting in 2011.
One man does not make a band. ClearImpact is possible because we have the best people, teamwork, talent and dedication.
